RTÉ series ‘Great Lighthouses of Ireland’ returns
Telling the fascinating story of Ireland’s lighthouses and their continuing importance in modern Irish life, the second series of ‘Great Lighthouses of Ireland’ returns on Sunday 8th May 2022.
The four-part series promises a host of compelling stories about everything from lightships, storms and shipwrecks, the raw power of waves and the revolutionary transatlantic cable, to the part Irish Lights have played in times of war and the many remarkable men and women who worked in them.
Series one of ‘Great Lighthouses of Ireland’ featured breathtaking footage of and fantastic stories about Galley Head, Ballycotton, St John’s Point (Co. Down), Fanad Head, Rathlin West Light, Hook Head and many more.
