Dive into the city’s rich seafaring heritage at the Belfast Titanic Maritime Festival 2019!
Back for its 11th year, bring your sea legs and get ready to explore some stunning vessels, exceptional historic attractions, hear some marvellous music and sample some suitably nautical food – all in a city renowned for maritime heritage of titanic proportions.
All taking place in the Titanic Quarter, there will quite simply be bucketloads of free activities dotted along the Maritime Mile. Visitors can channel their inner pirate and roam terrific tall ships, stroll to the gargantuan Great Light for storyteller Liz Weir’s captivating tales of mermaids and more, indulge in a pop-up picnic at Hamilton Dock, or even step aboard the impressive HMS Caroline – one of the last remaining WWI war ships. Then there’s the evening performances of Jimmy Ellis: Home Again, an autobiographical reflection through poetry and live music, of the late actor’s upbringing in East Belfast.
